Pediatric Dentistry focuses on providing comprehensive, preventive, interceptive, and therapeutic oral healthcare for children from infancy through adolescence. The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry is committed to delivering quality dental care through accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, preventive procedures, and compassionate patient management. Experienced specialists work closely with children and their parents to promote oral health awareness while ensuring a positive and comfortable dental experience. Behavior management remains a key aspect of treatment, helping children overcome fear and anxiety in a friendly clinical environment.

The department is equipped with a dedicated Conscious Sedation Unit for the safe management of anxious, uncooperative, and special-needs children. Child-friendly clinics featuring educational displays, toys, audiovisual facilities, and interactive learning aids create a welcoming atmosphere for young patients. Special care is provided for physically and mentally challenged children through individualized treatment approaches. The department emphasizes preventive dentistry with services such as fluoride therapy, habit-breaking appliances, interceptive orthodontics, and parental counseling, helping children develop healthy oral habits and maintain lifelong dental health.

Along with comprehensive patient care, the department actively supports undergraduate and postgraduate education through seminars, clinical demonstrations, and hands-on training. Its primary objective is to promote preventive oral healthcare while nurturing future dental professionals with the knowledge, clinical skills, and ethical values required to deliver quality pediatric dental services.
